Outpost, at the Big Bear Discovery Center
is designed with nature lovers in mind and to help guide their outdoor adventures.
The Adventure Outpost offers a selection of maps; field
guides; and books on hiking, biking, camping, stargazing, and skiing.
Our kids’ section offers interactive games,
puzzles, rocks and stuff including a selection of Smokey Bear merchandise.
Whether it’s a cool T-shirt or a warm-weather sweatshirt you’re
looking for, check our clothing section to find the right fit. And you might find a piece of jewelry that speaks to your nature sensibilities.
Bill Knicks Cafe located within the Adventure Outpost,
serves up freshly baked pastries, 100% organic coffee, and the tastiest wraps,
sandwiches, and salads. Dine inside or out and enjoy one of the best views in Big Bear Valley.
Off summer season days open Saturday and Sunday only; Memorial Weekend to Labor Day Weekend open Thursday - Monday.
